Manpower supply is a traditional business activity associated with the establishment and development of the SIMCO. The company is an active member of the Vietnam Labor Export Association and is always in the top 5 enterprises in Vietnam.
To present, the company has sent more than 40,000 workers, experts, and international students to work and study in many countries in the world: Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, and other countries in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, the United States... The total number of employees the company is managing abroad is currently over 10,000 people.
From 2022, the Company has transferred all manpower supply activities to "Simco Song Da Trading and Human Resources Joint Stock Company". This company inherits all human resources, facilities, customers and partners from Japan and Taiwan from SIMCO. The reason for this transformation is that the Government has issued Decree 38/2020/ND-CP dated April 3, 2020 detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Vietnamese workers going to work abroad. This new regulation affirms that enterprises providing services to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts must have owners, all members and shareholders being domestic investors. However, because SIMCO was previously listed on the stock market, there were foreign investors participating. The Board of Management have contacted foreign shareholders to transfer shares. However, as of May 28, 2021, there are still 18 foreign investors holding 14,774 shares, accounting for 0.056% of the total outstanding shares of the Company. Therefore, the Company decided to stop labor export activities at SIMCO and transfer all these activities to the new company mentioned above.
In 2022, the SIMCO will only complete the procedures bringing students who have already registered with the Ministry and trained from 2021 to work abroad.
